ASICS partners with Chinese designer label 8ON8 to reveal a collection of sneakers reinterpreting the iconic GEL-KAYANO™ 14 while honouring 30 years of the GEL-KAYANO™ series.
Leo Li Gong, a First Class MA graduate in Menswear Fashion from Central Saint Martins, established 8ON8 in 2017. Embodying Gong's personal take on retro-futuristic aesthetics; 8ON8 is influenced by Gong's portrayal of the past, skilfully blending it with his vision of a contemporary way of life. Since 2019, 8ON8 has presented its collections at London Fashion Week. One of Gong's skill lies in his manipulation of the human proportions in his designs. 8ON8 achieves a synergy between creativity & functionality.
Two new GEL-KAYANO™ 14's release, an Indigo Blue & Graphite Black. Using highly saturated colors as a base, 8ON8 integrate pops of colour & unique material details. Utilising 3D linear printing technology for sharp laser-cut lines, a microfiber material for the underfoot, & a thickened multi-textured TPU at the toe.
