- Before the street-wear store's we know today existed, one of the only ways you could get your hands on any hard-to-get sports apparel in Australia was to either go overseas yourself - or submit mail orders from sports magazines (with the payment included). Then, you would be left waiting months for something to slowly be sent back to you.
- In the early 1990's USG served as a catalyst for American goods that weren't previously sold in our country. It was one of the first stores to import an array of American sportswear, & a long list of cult fashion labels into Australia. USG stayed in it's first Regent Arcade location for over ten years, & in the mid 2000's moved to the Myer Centre.
- Independently owned, USG's focus has always been to ensure that some of the best products worldwide make their way to South Australia. We are proud to be a local Adelaide business, one of the oldest of it's kind in Australia, still around today.
- USG's small independent structure has allowed us autonomy: fulfilling our founder's vision, carrying products we truly believe in & genuinely love ourselves. Another decade on, though styles & times change - the pursuit of limited sneakers & gear has not. We hope to bring you another 25+ years of service!
