The Skyhand can be traced as far back as the early 1980's, when the company was still called Asics Tiger. As the decade progressed, Asics continually reiterated the Skyhand, improving the tread for multi-directional movement & utilising better materials for the uppers.
In the 1990's, Asics bulked up the Skyhand slightly & offered a more beefed up shape. Established Asics technologies & other advancements in footwear were integrated into the Skyhand including an SpEVA midsole, NC Rubber, & a Trusstic midfoot shank.
Asics revives the Skyhand OG with a new lens. With it's retro silhouette sitting firmly in the fashion space in 2024, premium materials like plush suedes & modern colour palettes take the Skyhand to unexplored territory.
